Space ship VFX
1. What were you asked to make
We were told to recreate a fake news camera feed using an online tutorial found on YouTube.
2. How might this be useful to making your own title sequence
It helps us how to use the "wiggle" command/code.
3. Which font did you use, why
I used the font that was shown in the YouTube video as I did not have enough time to find another font I liked or went well with the feel of the sequence.
4. How might a different font/look suit a different audience/film genre
Fonts really help set a genre / mood of the show as if you have very futuristic fonts for a documentary on Vikings it would not fit well at all, the same vice versa.
5. Did you need any help? If so, who did you turn to - peer/teacher/google etc? Or did you solve it yourself with some playing around?
I did not need any help with this as it was extremely basic and very planned out.
6. What did you learn
As I stated before, I learnt the "wiggle" command/code and how to use it to create randomness in movements and adjustments.
7. Detail 2-3 AE skills that you learned and how-tos that are transferrable to other projects. eg how to pre-compose and why this might be useful
Once again, I could use the "wiggle" command/code on other aspects of the Adobe Suite as it is a universal command.
8. Watch some varied title sequences and choose three to map out on Illustrator or Photoshop, on a timeline (I will explain this one!)
