Evaluation:

At the start you said what success would look like to you – were you successful (explain)?

I think that I was relatively successful with my finished product. It emphasises the impact on computer systems done by hackers. However I don't think that I made enough of a reference to a dodgy download.

What was the hardest part?

The hardest part was creating the falling text effect. There were not any tutorials on how to create a good falling text effect. So I either had to follow multiple tutorials to create the same outcome or follow this obscure Spanish tutorial to get the outcome I wanted. Having to watch his every movement very closely for an hour or two was painstaking.

What was the most enjoyable part?

The most enjoyable part was either seeing the falling text effect work or creating the fake company logo.

How was looking at other title sequences useful (2.1)?

Looking at other title sequences helped as it showed me what these shows, with thousands put into them, include in the sequence.

How hard was planning your work to meet the deadline (2.1)?

Planning my workflow to meet the deadline was pretty easy since I made individual deadlines for each section of the sequence. For example, "Finish text falling - 2/12/20", etc...

What changes to your workflow could you make in future projects to improve your outcome?

Actually naming my files as I downloaded an animated skull of the internet and it was saved as a bunch of numbers but when I came to edit it; I couldn't find it, as it turns out I deleted it thinking it was just a random image. All in all, give files more descriptive titles.

How could you improve your presentation skills (get feedback if you haven’t yet)?

Don't split my presentation into 2 parts. Put everything into one and present it that way.

Who would you say is the target audience for your animation (consider: age range, gender, interests)?

16-30 year olds, of any gender, that are interested in tech or spend a lot of their time on the internet.

When we’re talking about audience theory is there a theory that you could relate to your own title sequence, perhaps in terms of how you’d hope an audience responds, or whether you could bring in an element of representation?

My title sequence followed the hypodermic audience theory where the title sequence is "injecting" knowledge into the viewer. The viewer should get an understanding of internet safety and how exposed and detrimental hacks are on the internet.

How successful were you at evidencing your progression and work as you went along?

For the actual creation of the sequence it was very minimal but leading up to the eventual creation, I was detailed on what I wanted to use and show in the final product.

Which elements of what you did might be useful to you in your FMP?

I found out that After effects has a lot of typography animations for text within it. This could be useful for later projects that include heavy text use or even standard text use to make the product more appealing to the audience.
