Fire VFX
1. What were you asked to make
We were told to recreate a fake fire using an online tutorial found on YouTube.
2. How might this be useful to making your own title sequence
It helps us understand how to create something to look real when it is not really there.
3. Which font did you use, why
No font was used...
4. How might a different font/look suit a different audience/film genre
No font was used...
5. Did you need any help? If so, who did you turn to - peer/teacher/google etc? Or did you solve it yourself with some playing around?
I did not need help recreating the effect but I did need help to render it as it kept failing at 00:00:00. I had to put all the work on a portable hard drive and transfer it to a different computer to render it and upload it to YouTube.
6. What did you learn
I learnt the "wiggle" command/code and how to use it to create randomness in movements and adjustments.
7. Detail 2-3 AE skills that you learned and how-tos that are transferrable to other projects. eg how to pre-compose and why this might be useful
Once again, I could use the "wiggle" command/code on other aspects of the Adobe Suite as it is a universal command.
8. Watch some varied title sequences and choose three to map out on Illustrator or Photoshop, on a timeline (I will explain this one!)
